Dr. Smith chose AdventHealth Altamonte Springs because through researching different hospitals and hospital systems in the geographical area he wanted to have a residency located in, he saw how highly reviewed the AdventHealth system was and felt Altamonte Springs was a good fit for him in terms of size and patient diversity. This year he is looking forward to honing his skills as a newly licensed pharmacist, participating in an MUE project and leading research. When he's not at the hospital, Dr. Smith enjoys listening to music, playing guitar, watching television and playing sports. Upon completion of residency, his career goal is obtain a position as a clinical pharmacist. His interests include critical care, cardiology and ambulatory care.

Jacqueline Espinoza Ramirez

Jacqueline Espinoza Ramirez, PharmD

Dr. Espinoza Ramirez chose AdventHealth Altamonte Springs because of the variety of learning opportunities in both the inpatient and outpatient setting which will help her become a well-rounded clinician. In addition, AdventHealth's dedication to serving each patient like a member of their family aligns with how she wants to care for her patients as a clinician. This year she is looking forward to growing as an independent clinician and working amongst multi-disciplinary teams. When she's not at the hospital, Dr. Espinoza Ramirez enjoys drawing, spending time with family and friends, playing video games, and attending concerts. Upon completion of residency, she is considering pursuing a PGY2 in cardiology or ambulatory care.

Nahla Hachmi

Nahla Hachmi, PharmD

Dr. Hachmi chose AdventHealth Altamonte Springs because it is a great company with lots of different areas of specialties that could fit any one’s interests. This year she is looking forward to graduation and practicing as a clinician. When she's not at the hospital, Dr. Hachmi enjoys shopping and as a new Orlando resident she hopes to visit the theme parks. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Hachmi is hoping to become an ICU or ER pharmacist.
