
Danielle Honein, PharmD, BCCP
Title/Position: PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program Director, Cardiovascular Pharmacy Specialist

Dr. Honein completed her Associate in Arts degree at St. Petersburg Community College and received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida in 2013. She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in 2014 and a PGY-2 in Cardiology at UMass Memorial Medical Center in 2015. Upon completion of her residency years, Dr. Honein joined AdventHealth Orlando as a cardiology pharmacy specialist where she mainly practiced on the heart failure/pulmonary hypertension patient care unit. She then transferred to AdventHealth Altamonte Springs where she spends her time between the cardiac patient care unit and the emergency department.
In addition to clinical duties, Danielle also actively works on cardiology and transitions of care projects. She serves as the primary preceptor for the Cardiology rotation.

Cynthia Aguero, PharmD, MHA, BCSCP

Dr. Cynthia Aguero received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy in 2011. After working as a pharmacy intern at AdventHealth Orlando for four years, Dr. Aguero accepted a graduate pharmacist position at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs in 2011. At AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, Dr. Aguero has practiced as a staff clinical pharmacist and served as an APPE preceptor for pharmacy students. She now has taken on a new role as Pharmacy Operations Manager. Dr. Aguero is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Taylor Fore, PharmD, BCPS
Title/Position: Clinical Pharmacy Manager, Staff Clinical Pharmacist

Dr. Fore received a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Florida and received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida in 2013. She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice residency at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in 2014. Upon completion of her residency year, Dr. Fore joined AdventHealth Altamonte Springs as a clinical staff pharmacist spending most of her time in the emergency department. In 2018, Dr. Fore entered her new role as Clinical Pharmacy Manager.

Mayrim Torres, PharmD, BCPS

Dr. Torres has been a pharmacist at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs since 2014. She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at AdventHealth Altamonte and joined as a staff-clinical pharmacist in 2015. Dr. Torres served as the Pharmacy Residency Site Coordinator from 2016 to 2019 and as Residency Program Director from 2019 to 2022. She currently serves as a preceptor for pharmacy residents during their Introduction to Clinical Practice and Critical Care rotations.

Danielle Defibaugh, PharmD, BCPS

Dr. Defibaugh completed her undergraduate curriculum and received her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree at West Virginia University in 2013. She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center in 2014. Upon completion of her residency, she joined AdventHealth as a member of the surgery pharmacy team at the Orlando campus. In 2015, she transitioned to her current position at Altamonte. In addition to clinical duties, Danielle serves as the Altamonte's Pharmacy Medication Safety Officer. She works primarily in the Lake Mary and Altamonte emergency departments.

Dana Roth, PharmD, BCPS, BCIDP

Dr. Dana Roth has been a pharmacist at AdventHealth Altamonte since 2011. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2006 from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She then completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice residency at AdventHealth Orlando. Dr. Roth received her board certification as an infectious diseases pharmacist in 2019. In her spare time Dr. Roth enjoys spending time with her family and trail running.

Jaime Rivera, B.S., RPh
Title/Position: Staff Clinical Pharmacist

Jaime Andres Rivera is a Clinical Staff pharmacist, and has been with AdventHealth Altamonte Springs since March of 2011. He has served as a preceptor for General Hospital rotation for 4th year PharmD candidates of the University of Florida School of Pharmacy.
Mr. Rivera attended the School of Pharmacy of the University of Chile. He graduated in 1995 with Bachelor degree in Chemistry and in 1996 was licensed as Pharmacist. He practiced pharmacy in a community chain pharmacy for a year and move into the Public Health System, spending three years in the clinical laboratory in the Hematology section until 2002.
Mr. Rivera has been working for AdventHealth since December of 2003. Initially, he served as a Clinical Technician, he was involved in several projects within the pharmacy department, including assisting with medication research projects and roll out of the CERNER computer system for AdventHealth. He was part of the team that tested and launched the current software system in 2005, and has served as an instructor and Superuser for all computer upgrades.
Mr. Rivera was licensed as a pharmacist in the US in June 2008 and served as a Clinical Staff Pharmacist at AdventHealth Orlando before transferring to the Altamonte Campus.
For personal and professional reasons, Mr. Rivera feels patients as part of his life, devoting any and every effort for their well-being.

Nicole Rivera-Torres, PharmD, BCPS

Dr. Rivera-Torres received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Union University School of Pharmacy in 2014. In 2015, she completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs.
After completion of her PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency, Dr. Rivera-Torres served as a clinical staff pharmacist at AdventHealth Daytona Beach before transferring to AdventHealth Altamonte Springs. Dr. Rivera-Torres is an active member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and American College of Clinical Pharmacy.

Katie Saffran, PharmD

Dr. Saffran received a Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Florida in 2009 and received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida in 2013. She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center in 2014. Upon completion of her residency year, Dr. Saffran joined the AdventHealth Orlando campus as a clinical pharmacist in the surgery division. In 2016, she joined the AdventHealth Lake Mary ER and Altamonte teams to work in the emergency department.

Madeleine D. Simpson, B.S., PharmD, BCPS, CPh, CDE

Dr. Madeleine Simpson received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She was granted her first BS in Biology and a second BS in Medical Technology, both from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 2005, she completed a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency at AdventHealth Orlando.
Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Simpson served as a valued member of the Patient-Oriented Pharmaceutical Services program, followed by the newly restored Metabolic Support Team at AdventHealth Orlando.
In 2010, she joined AdventHealth Altamonte Springs as a decentralized clinical staff pharmacist servicing a 92-bed Progressive Care Unit. She continues to serve as the APPE student liaison to Florida A & M University in her quest to foster the growth and development of future pharmacy leaders.
Dr. Simpson is an active member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, American College of Clinical Pharmacy and the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists.

Annamalai Thanneermalai, MS, PharmD, BCPS, BCCCP

Education: Dr. Annamalai Thanneermalai attended the Dr. M.G.R Medical University, India, where he received a BS degree in Pharmacy, 1999 and his MS degree in Pharmacology, 2001. He continued his Pharmacy education and received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Florida in 2009. Dr. Thanneermalai received his board certification as a Pharmacotherapy specialist in 2013.
Experience: After 4 years of retail experience, Dr. Thanneermalai joined AdventHealth in 2007 as a staff pharmacist while pursuing his PharmD degree and currently works in the Intensive Care Unit.

Linda Tsai, RPH, BCOP
Title/Position: Staff Clinical Pharmacist

Dr. Linda Tsai received both her BS degree in Pharmacy and Doctor of Eastern Medicine from China Medical University in 1981. After working at manufacture and retail stores for few years, she decided to join AdventHealth Altamonte Springs in 1992. Dr. Tsai received her pharmacy specialization as a Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist in 2011.
At AdventHealth, Dr. Tsai has worked in central pharmacy as a staff pharmacist, charge pharmacist and then started decentralized pharmacy services with Hematology/Oncology in 2002. She is working together with the Oncology multidisciplinary team and is an active member of the Hematology Oncology Pharmacy Association.

Raquel Caporella, PharmD, BCACP
Title/Position: Clinical Staff Pharmacist

Raquel Caporella received her Bachelor's degree in Biology and minor in Health Science from the University of Central Florida. In 2015, she received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Nova Southeastern University. In 2016, she completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at AdventHealth Celebration. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Caporella started staffing within the AdventHealth system and she joined AdventHealth Altamonte as a clinical staff pharmacist with a focus in Ambulatory Care. Raquel currently staffs at the AdventHealth Altamonte Transitions of Care Clinic where her role consists of providing medication therapy management to underserved patients and patients who are newly discharged from the hospital. She currently serves as a preceptor for Ambulatory Care Rotation. Dr. Caporella also works as a clinical staff pharmacist in the inpatient pharmacy setting, and she is an active member of the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists and the American College of Clinical Pharmacy. Her long-term goal is to open a clinic in the future.

Libby Daugherty, PharmD, BCPS

Dr. Daugherty received a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from North Carolina State University in 2009, and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Georgia in 2017. In 2018 she completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency at AdventHealth Orlando. After residency, Dr. Daugherty joined the team at AdventHealth Altamonte Springs and Lake Mary ER as a clinical pharmacist in the emergency department and cardiac progressive care unit.

Sarah Bisceglia, PharmD
Title/Position: Staff Clinical Pharmacist
Practice: Transitions of Care
Sarah Bisceglia completed her Associate in Arts degree at University of Florida and received her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Florida in 2012. She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Lake City VA Medical Center in 2013. Upon completion of her residency years, she started as Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Acute Care at the St. Louis VA Medical Center in 2013. In 2015, she became the hospital’s first Nephrology Pharmacy Specialist and managed the Erythropoietin Stimulating Agent (ESA) Clinic, as well as contributed to other multi-disciplinary HTN and CKD V clinics. In 2017, Sarah began practicing at AdventHealth Orlando as a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist, with a focus in hepatology and nephrology. In 2021 she transferred to AdventHealth Altamonte where she began as a Clinical Pharmacist in Transitions of Care.

Victoria Marinucci, PharmD, BCCCP

Dr. Marinucci received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry in 2015, then continued on to receive her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University in 2019. She completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Broward Health Medical Center in 2020 and a PGY-2 in Critical Care at AdventHealth Orlando in 2021. Upon completion of her residency years, Dr. Marinucci joined the AdventHealth Altamonte Springs team as a clinical pharmacist. She currently practices in the Intensive Care Unit as well as the Altamonte, Lake Mary, and Oviedo emergency departments.
