AdventHealth announces the appointment of Rebecca Grissom as Executive Director of Marketing, Communications and Philanthropy for its North Carolina Market. In this leadership role, Grissom will guide strategic marketing and communications efforts, lead philanthropic initiatives, and strengthen community engagement as AdventHealth continues expanding access to care across Western North Carolina.
Grissom brings more than a decade of experience in strategic marketing and communications within both for-profit and not-for-profit health systems. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN, and most recently served as the Division Director of Marketing and Communications at Mission Health in Asheville, NC. There, she managed high-impact projects and aligned marketing strategies to drive growth and reputation.
Grissom's approach to leadership is rooted in relationship-building and communication. She focuses on listening with intention, building trust, and creating space for open and honest dialogue within her teams. By prioritizing clear expectations, she strives to foster stronger collaboration and a shared sense of direction across teams.

As a native of Western North Carolina, Grissom brings has a deep commitment to serving the mountain community she knows and loves.
Grissom and her husband were high school sweethearts that met while attending school at Mount Pisgah Academy in Candler, NC. They now live in Mills River with their two young children, and sweet dog, Rory. Grissom enjoys actively participating in her music ministry at her church, traveling, spending time outdoors with her family and enjoying a sunset and a cup of coffee on the porch.
