AdventHealth welcomes longtime family medicine physician in the mountains, Chona Reguyal, MD, AAFP, to its team at AdventHealth Medical Group Family Medicine at Parkway*. Dr. Reguyal is board-certified in Family Medicine and will be offering full-spectrum primary care, including preventive health, chronic condition management, and women’s health services in Buncombe County.
Dr. Reguyal earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine. Well known to many in the community, she most recently served as a Primary Care Physician at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. Prior to that, she dedicated more than two decades as a Family Physician in the Hendersonville community, building trusted relationships and delivering compassionate care to generations of families.
“I approach patient care by treating every individual like family,” Dr. Reguyal says. “I take time to listen, connect and build trust. Many of my patients have told me they feel comfortable and understood from the very first visit, which is exactly the kind of experience I aim to provide.”
Dr. Reguyal was drawn to AdventHealth’s focus on patient-centered care. After 20 years of caring for the Hendersonville community, she desired to continue serving Western North Carolina with an organization that prioritized collaboration and high-quality care.
“I’m excited to continue caring for this community in a supportive environment where both patients and team members are genuinely valued,” she shares.
Dr. Reguyal is married to a local pharmacist, where they have both spent their careers serving the Hendersonville community. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exploring new foods and cultures, spending time with loved ones and visiting her son in New York every chance she gets.
