The medical office building will house a new state-of-the-art Cancer Center, expanded clinical care offerings and advanced specialty imaging services to support surgical planning and whole-person care. The expansion will also support the hospital’s growing graduate medical education programs, which include Internal Medicine, OB/GYN and General Surgery.

“This project is about making it easier for patients to get the high-quality care they need, when and where they need it,” said Erik Wangsness, president and CEO of AdventHealth Tampa. “As our community grows, we’re committed to investing in services and spaces that improve access and meet people where they are. This new facility and garage will allow us to deliver care more efficiently while supporting our commitment to medical education.”

"That's what it's all about," said Commissioner Gwen Myers, who represents Hillsborough County's District 3, who spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony. "Giving something back, building something in our community where we can stay here in Hillsborough County and take care of ourselves."

The medical office building is expected to open in fall 2026, while the parking garage will be completed by summer 2026.
