AdventHealth Port Charlotte to host 9/11 Remembrance Service

AdventHealth Port Charlotte invites community members to join us for a 9/11 Remembrance Service on Thursday, September 11, 2025, to honor the lives lost and the heroes who emerged during and after the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

AdventHealth is honored to welcome Libby Schaefer, author and 9/11 historian, as our guest speaker, alongside Carlo Gargiulo, chaplain to the Punta Gorda Fire Department, who served in New York in the immediate aftermath of the attacks that took the lives of nearly 3,000 people, including hundreds of first responders.

In attendance will be representatives from the Charlotte County Commission, Punta Gorda City Council, and all branches of law enforcement and EMS services, reflecting our community’s deep respect and unity in remembrance.

The service will commence at 8 am with light refreshments in the lobby of the main hospital on 2500 Harbor Boulevard in Port Charlotte (please use Main Entrance). The remembrance ceremony will commence promptly at 8.30 am.

Media members are invited to attend as AdventHealth leaders and team members join community leaders to pay tribute to those who lost their lives and those who continue to be affected by the events of that day.
