As the demand for trusted, high-quality care grows across Florida, three hospitals in the AdventHealth West Florida Division have been ranked among U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals, a national recognition that highlights the lifesaving care and clinical excellence patients rely on every day.
AdventHealth Tampa maintained its No. 3 position in the Tampa–St. Petersburg Beach metro area, while AdventHealth Zephyrhills and AdventHealth Ocala also secured Best Hospital rankings.
Several AdventHealth hospitals across West, Central and Southwest Florida were also recognized with high performing rankings for procedures and conditions such as heart attack care, stroke treatment, diabetes, pneumonia, COPD, joint repair and cancer treatment— areas where better outcomes often translate directly into lives saved.

- AdventHealth Wesley Chapel: 7 High Performing designations
Additionally, AdventHealth Sebring and Carrollwood were recognized with four High Performing designations each.

These rankings reflect broad-based improvements across the region, fueled by strong growth and focused investment.
Over the past year, AdventHealth West Florida Division expanded significantly to improve access to high-quality care for patients across the region:
- Added more than 170 new providers through the acquisitions of Bond Clinic and AdventHealth Port Charlotte
- Opened AdventHealth Riverview and two new offsite emergency departments
- Added a three-story, 60,000 square foot medical office building in Marion County, housing several of AdventHealth Ocala’s key service lines, such as Cardiovascular, Neuroscience, Orthopedics and Women’s Health.
- Welcomed 76 new resident doctors into the division’s Graduate Medical Education programs, including family medicine, internal medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology and the transitional year, fueling the physician pipeline and addressing the state’s physician shortage.
The West Florida Division of AdventHealth delivers whole-person care through more than 19,000 team members, using leading-edge technology and innovation. Our connected network of care includes 15 hospitals, 11 offsite emergency departments, 27 ambulances, a medical helicopter, nine urgent care centers, one corporate care center, five care pavilions, Primary Care+ at Walgreens, Well 65+ Senior Primary Care, primary care, specialty care, physical therapy, lab services, imaging, mobile mammography and more, serving eight counties across West, Southwest and Central Florida.
Statewide Celebration: Central Florida’s #1 Ranking
While the West Florida Division celebrates regional gains, AdventHealth Orlando earned U.S. News’ top ranking as the No. 1 hospital in Florida and one of the Top 20 hospitals in the nation.
This marks the 15th year AdventHealth Orlando has held the No. 1 spot in the Orlando Metro area and solidifies its national reputation for clinical leadership.

U.S. News evaluated more than 4,400 hospitals across 15 adult specialties and 22 procedures and conditions. To determine the Best Hospitals, U.S. News analyzed each hospital’s performance based on objective measures such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications and level of nursing care. The Best Hospitals Specialty rankings methodology and Procedures & Conditions ratings methodology measure patient outcomes using data from over 800 million records of patient care.
