In this episode of the Inspiring Wholeness podcast, Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma joins Scott Tucker, Ph.D., clinical director of operations for AdventHealth Hope & Healing Center, to discuss how the substance abuse treatment center is making an impact on drug-related illnesses and deaths and reshaping the narrative around these mental health disorders.
“The only way to address this is in the medical space. You cannot arrest your way out of this problem,” Lemma said. “Up until this point, many people would receive adequate health care services in separate spaces. Finding a convenient, holistic way to do that was incredibly important.”
