Biography

Frank Pigula, MD, is an internationally recognized expert in complex congenital heart disease. He previously served as clinical director of the pediatric cardiac surgery program at the Children’s Hospital of Boston and is a former associate professor of surgery at Harvard University Medical School. Extensively published in peer-reviewed medical journals, Dr. Pigula conducts ongoing clinical studies to document neurodevelopmental outcomes in infants using a technique he developed to reduce circulatory arrest times in an effort to reduce bypass-related neurologic injury. Dr. Pigula has extensive experience in neonatal cardiac surgery.
