Every innovation and new technology in health care is made possible through in-depth studies and clinical trials. At AdventHealth Research Institute locations across our expansive network, we have more than 700 investigators and more than 780 clinical trials in progress at any given time. We’re home to over a dozen research areas and the Nicholson Center, and are part of the extensive AdventHealth network in Florida.

- AdventHealth Orlando

AdventHealth Orlando, Central Florida’s flagship campus, serves as both a community hospital and a major tertiary referral hospital for the region — as well as much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and Latin America.
AdventHealth Orlando is a designated statutory teaching hospital and trains physicians from around the world on the newest technologies and procedures. The system provides a wide range of health services, including many nationally and internationally recognized programs in cardiology, cancer, women’s medicine, neurosciences, diabetes, orthopedics, pediatrics, transplant and advanced surgical programs.

AdventHealth Tampa, one of West Florida’s most robust campuses, has served the Hillsborough County community since 1966. The hospital brought many medical “firsts” to the area, and its research institutes are constantly working on new ways to treat, heal and cure patients.
Getting care at AdventHealth Tampa means access to the latest research studies, procedures and technologies — including access to medical, surgical and device-related clinical trials that aren’t widely available otherwise.
The Dr. Kiran C. Patel Research Institute at AdventHealth Tampa is involved in many clinical trials in diverse areas, such as stem cell therapy and regenerative medicine, cardiovascular care, cancer care and digestive health.
