Two Experienced Physicians Join AdventHealth Medical Group, Launch New Primary Care Practice

Long-time Johnson County primary care physicians Susan L. Lee, MD, and Bradley J. Palmer, DO, have joined AdventHealth Medical Group to establish a new primary care office at AdventHealth South Overland Park, near 165th St. and Antioch Rd. Certified physician assistant Kirsten Lampe, PA-C, will also join the practice.

The new practice, called AdventHealth Medical Group Primary Care at South Overland Park, will open the first week of August. The practice will become the second AdventHealth Medical Group primary care office on the AdventHealth South Overland Park campus and the medical group’s 11th primary care office in northeast Kansas.

Lee, a Board-certified family medicine physician, and Palmer, a Board-certified internist, have both been providing primary care in and around Johnson County for more than 20 years. They most recently saw patients at a physician practice in Mission Farms, where they both held clinical leadership roles. On Aug. 4, they will begin seeing patients at their new office, located at 7840 W. 165th Street at AdventHealth South Overland Park. Lampe, who previously had worked as an urgent care physician assistant, will join the practice in mid-August. The office can be reached at Call913-373-2141.

"The depth of expertise and breadth of experience Dr. Lee and Dr. Palmer bring to AdventHealth will be an outstanding benefit to new and existing patients," said Alan Verrill, MD, CEO of AdventHealth South Overland Park. "For people seeking convenient, competent, whole-person primary care in and around southern Johnson County, this brand-new practice will be a vital addition to AdventHealth South Overland Park."

Since opening in 2017 with a 24/7 ER and other select services, AdventHealth South Overland Park has steadily grown to meet the needs of residents of southern Johnson County and beyond. In October, a 193,000 sq. ft. hospital with surgery, intensive care and a birth center will open on the campus. By the end of 2021, the AdventHealth network in northeast Kansas will include three hospitals and five ERs, and AdventHealth Medical Group will include 12 primary care offices, 15 specialty care offices and three Centra Care urgent care clinics.
