AdventHealth Launches Physician Recruitment for South Overland Park Hospital

Kan., March 10, 2020 — Overland Park, KS – Mick Allison is the new Director – Physician Network for AdventHealth South Overland Park. Allison will recruit physicians to join the medical staff of the hospital, which is set to open in late 2021. Allison has 30 years of experience in physician recruiting in the Kansas City area, including previously serving as Director of Physician Services for Shawnee Mission Medical Center.

“I am looking forward to building the medical staff for the upcoming South Overland Park hospital,” said Allison. “AdventHealth is well-respected by physicians for our mission-driven approach and faith-based care, and we look forward to partnering with providers as we continue our rapid growth in this market.”

Allison most recently served as Director of Physician Recruitment and Retention for St. Luke’s Health System, where he supported more than 500 physicians, led physician group acquisitions and assisted in workforce planning to recruit for projected physician needs in the Kansas City market.

Rachel Strickland has also joined AdventHealth’s local physician recruitment team, leading efforts at the flagship Shawnee Mission campus. Strickland most recently worked at Modis, an IT and engineering staffing agency in Overland Park.
