Our 24-bed emergency center is staffed around the clock with emergency medicine physicians, specialty nurses, techs and paramedic partners, so you’ll always have a dedicated support team by your side when the unexpected happens.

We are recognized as a Level 1 Emergency Cardiac Care Center by the Georgia Department of Public Health, as well as designated as a Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center from the Joint Commission. This means we can quickly assess and diagnose patients with related symptoms and provide immediate treatment to prevent further damage. Our rapid neurointerventional treatment is the only of its kind in Northwest Georgia, which means you can receive lifesaving treatment — close to home for complex stroke when every minute matters.

Know When to Go to the Emergency Room

If you’re experiencing symptoms of a medical emergency, call 911 right away. Our emergency department offers 24-hour ER care for conditions like:

  • Broken bones
  • Chest pain or difficulty breathing
  • Gunshot or knife wounds
  • Heart attack symptoms
  • Poisoning
  • Seizures or loss of consciousness
  • Severe burns
  • Severe, persistent stomach pain
  • Stroke symptoms
  • Suicidal feelings

Emergency Heart Care You Can Count On

Immediate response is crucial to surviving a heart attack, or a ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). That’s why our emergency care team is ready with lifesaving care even before you enter our facility. Through our STEMI Program, we partner with emergency medical services (EMS) for swift transport to our cardiac catheterization lab, staffed by emergency medicine physicians and cardiology specialists who have been preparing for your arrival.
