Auxiliary

Volunteers have powered our hospital since 1954. By supporting staff, running the gift shop and lifting patients’ spirits, they help us fulfill the Auxiliary’s three-fold purpose of providing compassionate service to patients, serving as goodwill ambassadors for the hospital, and raising funds for equipment and services.

As a volunteer with AdventHealth New Smyrna Beach, you’ll have many opportunities available to you. Put your talents, skills and interests to good use by serving in one of the following areas or departments:

• Cozy Cart
• Emergency department
• Family waiting room
• Gift shop
• Information/reception desks
• Oncology
• Outpatient
• Pharmacy
• Pink Door
• Physical therapy
• Radiology
• Shuttle Cart
• Surgical services

Ready to start making a difference? Here’s what you need to do:

• Attend an interview with the Auxiliary placement chairperson and receive your assignment
• Complete an application form and background check
• Earn at least 60 hours of active duty each year, including training, orientation and volunteer meetings
• Pay annual dues
• Purchase an Auxiliary uniform
• Receive training
