Where There's a World of People Who Care About You
Whether you're here for a check-up or emergency care, our goal at AdventHealth Murray, formerly Murray Medical Center, is simple: to give you the best whole-person support possible. At our hospital in Chatsworth, Georgia, we'll provide you with everything you need for physical, mental, and spiritual healing. Whether you need to find insurance information, a healthy meal, or someone to pray with, we're here to help, providing the hospital amenities and patient resources you need.
While our team of medical experts helps you heal, our nurses and volunteers will make sure you're comfortable. And because we know a hospital stay can be stressful, our pastoral-support team is on-call to give a listening ear or a shoulder to lean on. If you need anything else, please ask us. We are here to serve our Murray County community with dedication, compassion, and expert care.
Hospital Information and Patient Services
- Hospital Amenities
Our Dietary Department consistently receives high scores from the Department of Public Health and our patients continually rate its services highly on their discharge evaluations.
Free Hospital Parking
You have a lot of things to think about. Finding a parking spot shouldn't be one of them. This is why we offer free and convenient visitor parking at our Chatsworth hospital.
As a faith-based organization, we know spiritual aid can make a big difference when you’re going through a challenging time. A simple prayer or a few minutes of counsel often helps you find renewed strength and peace. For that reason, we have an on-call chaplain ready to lend a listening ear, give advice, or pray with you.
To speak with a chaplain, simply call our office at Call706-695-4564. If you call during business hours (Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm), you can ask the receptionist to connect you with a chaplain. Otherwise, please leave a message and we’ll respond within 24 hours. Additionally, feel free to ask your nurse to page our office.
- Preparing for Your Hospital Stay or Appointment
We know a visit to the hospital can be stressful. We want to help make your stay at AdventHealth Murray as easy as possible. Here are some things you can do before your visit to make your stay smoother:
- Bathe or shower before your visit, and remove all jewelry, contact lenses, make-up, and nail polish. You’re welcome to wear your glasses or hearing aid(s).
- Bring a list of all medications you are currently taking and any allergies you may have.
- Bring photo ID and insurance information.
- Follow your doctor’s instructions about what to eat and what medications to take, if any, before your visit.
- If you’re coming for an outpatient procedure, plan on having someone drive you to and from the hospital.
- Leave cash, jewelry, and any other valuables at home.
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing that is easy to put on and take off.
- Financial Assistance for Those in Need
It’s hard to focus on healing when you're worried about mounting hospital bills. That’s why we offer financial assistance for people who are not covered by any form of insurance or government program. You’ll just need to verify your income and financial information. - Pastoral Care
A hospital stay can be an unexpected, anxious and a lonely time, not only for loved ones, but family and friends as well. AdventHealth Murray knows that your spiritual care is also an important part of the healing process. That’s why members of the Department of Pastoral Care are available to you and your loved ones during your time in the hospital, providing you with spiritual care and support.
Contact a Chaplain
Patients, their family members or friends can request a visit from a chaplain, and we are also available to assist clergy or other pastors coming to visit their congregants.
A hospital stay can bring many visits and services from multiple medical providers. We know it’s hard to plan ahead for an emergency hospital visit, but if you have a scheduled health care service that requires a hospital stay, we recommend contacting your anticipated health care practitioners within the hospital to confirm they participate with your insurance provider. You can also get information about billing practices and an estimate for your upcoming services ahead of time. This will help you avoid any unexpected challenges and fees.
