Physician Assistant Joins AdventHealth Hendersonville Surgery Specialists

Mar 14, 2024; HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. – AdventHealth is excited to welcome Anna McConnell, PA-C to its team of whole-person care providers. AdventHealth Hendersonville. McConnell will be serving alongside AdventHealth Hendersonville Surgery Specialists providing expert, compassionate surgical care.

When starting out in health care, McConnell earned her bachelor’s degree in clinical research from Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC. After desiring more patient interaction, she pursued her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Wingate University in Hendersonville, NC.

McConnell is passionate about providing patient education. She believes in empowering every patient so they can make the best personal decisions about their own health and care plans. “I truly believe that knowledge is empowering,” McConnell explains. “A patient’s understanding of their care plan is imperative to their optimal healing. I make an effort to ensure that each patient I see knows what their plan is and why each step is important to their overall well-being.”

A native of Western North Carolina, McConnell is excited to be caring for people in her home community. She was drawn to AdventHealth Hendersonville because of our dedication to going above and beyond to ensure the health care needs of the community are being served with excellence.

McConnell is excited for the opportunity to provide whole-person care in the community she knows and loves. She adds, “I am here to help you fulfill your health care goals. I believe that your health and care plan is a personal choice and I want to help you meet your individual goals.”

McConnell is married, with two fur babies. She and her husband are currently expecting their first child. Both she and her husband grew up in Western North Carolina. Her family still operates a family farm. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, making crafts, and hosting people at her home.
