DELAND, Fla., June 8, 2016 Florida Hospital DeLand has named Lisa Steele to serve as nurse manager of the hospitals BirthCare Center.
In this new role, Steele oversees the daily operations of Florida Hospital DeLand's BirthCare Center and coordinates the units clinical education.
Lisa has a strong passion for women's health and is committed to providing excellent patient experience and evidence-based standards of care practices, said Becky Vernon, director of women and children's services at both Florida Hospital DeLand and Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center.
Steele is a registered nurse and has 15 years of women's health and obstetrics experience. She has been with Florida Hospital since September 2014 and most recently served as assistant nurse manager at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach. In this role, she was responsible for assisting in overseeing staff to ensure that patients received the highest standard of care.
A Palm Coast resident, Steele earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Keuka College located in New York.
