Chances are, your visit to our facility doesn’t come under the best of circumstances. Maybe a loved one is ill or a family member is having surgery. If there’s a silver lining—besides the fact that they’ll be receiving the best care possible in a compassionate, loving setting—it’s that you and your family will be just a short trip from some of Florida premier destinations, as well as some of the Sunshine State’s top beaches.

The information below is designed to help our patients and guests find nearby accommodations, make travel arrangements and maybe have some fun while they’re visiting our community.

Free WiFi

While you heal, you don’t have to feel separated from the rest of the world. Use our free WiFi throughout the hospital to stay in touch with your loved ones, catch up on the latest news, or just play games on your tablet.

Non-Denominational Chapel

We understand that this can be a stressful time for you. Because we care about your spiritual as well as your physical needs, we offer a non-denominational chapel, open 24/7 to patients and visitors of all faiths. Located off the main lobby at the Plymouth Avenue entrance to our hospital, the chapel is a serene, garden-like space with an indoor fountain. Our chaplains hold regular prayer sessions in the chapel Monday through Friday, beginning at 10:00 am. We invite everyone who wishes to do so to attend, and you may even hear a reminder announcement made on the intercom.

For those times when you need a little more, we offer a supportive pastoral-care team who are always ready to minister to your spiritual needs. Our team members represent various faiths, and they can also put you in touch with a clergy member from your own religious community. To reach out, call Call386-943-4878 or Call386-943-7169.

In addition, you may notice many of our staff wearing the “praying hands” pin on their badges and uniforms. This means the staff member is willing to pray with or for you. Simply ask.

If you would like the hospital chaplain to pray for a certain patient or hospital employee, submit a prayer request through our online form.

Registration Kiosks

For a more stress-free hospital experience, we provide convenient self-service kiosks so you can check in right away without waiting in line. If you have trouble registering, a registrar is available to help. You can also register with one of our admission representatives if you prefer not to use the kiosk.

Financial Assistance

We understand that a hospital visit can be stressful — especially when you’re worrying about whether or not you can pay your bill. Through our financial assistance program, you won’t have to worry about that. Our Charity Care and Financial Assistance Program is available to patients receiving non-elective (emergent) hospital services who are not covered by any insurance or government program. To apply, you will need to verify your income and financial information.

    • Please enter through Outpatient Services, next to the ER entrance facing Stone Street.
What to Bring

If you're coming in for a planned procedure, knowing what to bring beforehand will make your visit a lot easier. When possible, you should bring the following with you to the hospital:

  • A list of prescriptions, but allow us to dispense all of your medications.
  • Any referrals or tests from your physician to streamline your care.
  • A photo ID and your insurance card.

Leave the following at home when you visit the hospital:

  • Don’t bring any valuables. Leave your possessions with loved ones for safekeeping.
  • Don’t worry about toiletries. If you stay overnight, we can provide you with necessities, sleepwear, and slippers.
Pastoral Care

A hospital stay can be an unexpected, anxious and a lonely time, not only for loved ones, but family and friends as well. AdventHealth DeLand knows that your spiritual care is also an important part of the healing process. That’s why members of the Department of Pastoral Care are available to you and your loved ones during your time in the hospital, providing you with spiritual care and support.

Contact a Chaplain

Patients, their family members or friends can request a visit from a chaplain, and we are also available to assist clergy or other pastors coming to visit their congregants.

Rest and Recover

All the Details are Covered

During your stay here, we want you to focus on what matters most: rest and healing. To help you with that, we make it easy to take care of all the small details, like locating billing information, understanding your insurance, refilling your prescriptions, and more. Click the links on the right to find the help you need.

A hospital stay can bring many visits and services from multiple medical providers. We know it’s hard to plan ahead for an emergency hospital visit, but if you have a scheduled health care service that requires a hospital stay, we recommend contacting your anticipated health care practitioners within the hospital to confirm they participate with your insurance provider. You can also get information about billing practices and an estimate for your upcoming services ahead of time. This will help you avoid any unexpected challenges and fees.
