Volunteering

Feel Community. Feel Whole.

Our Volunteer Services team manages AdventHealth's volunteer workforce within and outside our hospital walls. As a result of the various volunteering opportunities offered at AdventHealth, volunteers experience various benefits in both their personal and professional development.

Maintaining the health of volunteers, employees, and our communities is important while planning for COVID-19. Our team has developed strategies to continue to serve and maintain engagement while continuing best health practices. Volunteering, even virtually, is good for you! Not only does it satisfy a need for purpose, it brings change of pace, improves mood, and lowers stress. Learn about virtual volunteering opportunities by clicking here.

Some of the many proven benefits of volunteering are:

  • Learning new skill sets
  • Developing better communication practices
  • Building new relationships
  • Increasing life expectancy
  • Improving overall health

Hospital Volunteers

Over 2,000 volunteers contribute their time annually at our hospitals to create a positive impact in the lives of our patients, visitors and staff. AdventHealth offers many opportunities to get involved as a volunteer.

In order to make it easy for our hospital volunteers, we offer an online orientation as well as instructions that can be accessed below.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer at AdventHealth or have any questions about the online orientation, please contact the Volunteer Services office at [email protected] or at Call 407-303-6938.

Employee Volunteers

From building neighborhood parks to serving food to impoverished community members, our Team Member volunteers give back to those we serve. Week of Caring, one of our signature volunteer events, encourages our Team Members to volunteer at one of several sites throughout Central Florida. This coordinated week of service encourages all Team Members to work on community projects and to learn more about our community’s health needs.

If you are currently employed at AdventHealth and interested in becoming a Team Member volunteer, please contact us at [email protected].
