Anal manometry: This is a non-invasive procedure that allows us to evaluate sensation and reflex to rule out Hirschsprung’s disease and help determine the cause of fecal incontinence.
Biofeedback: During biofeedback, also known as pelvic floor muscle retraining, we can manipulate muscle strength by visually representing muscle activity.
Colonoscopy: This routine procedure lets your doctor make sure your colon is healthy and catch any issues early for peace of mind.
Dynamic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI): This allows us to visualize and compare the pelvic floor at rest to the pelvic floor at a maximum push.
Electromyography (EMG): We can test the nerves that stimulate the sphincter muscles and for pelvic outlet dysfunction with EMG.
Endorectal ultrasound (ERUS): We’re the first in Colorado to offer 3D ERUS. This state-of-the-art ultrasound technology gives a 360-degree visualization of the sphincter muscle, giving us unsurpassed detail of tumors, abscesses and fistulas.
