The first baby of the year born in Central Florida was also the first baby for her mom, and while much of Orlando celebrated with fireworks, she celebrated with family in a delivery room.
Even though her mom, Jasmine Fair, spent the first moment of 2018 delivering her baby, she didn’t miss out on celebrating the new year with the early arrival of her newborn daughter.
My grandmother predicted it weeks ago, but I thought she was going to come in after her due date. She wanted to make a grand entrance, said Fair.
Little Ava arrived days earlier than her expected Jan. 8 due date in what was a nearly 15-hour labor.
She’s the best baby Orlando will have. I look forward to raising her and watching her grow, added Fair.
