- Cardiac computed tomography (CT) scans: We utilize advanced imaging technology to generate detailed cross-sectional images of the heart and surrounding structures, aiding in the diagnosis and assessment of cardiovascular conditions such as coronary artery disease, cardiac anomalies and structural abnormalities
- Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI): Employs powerful magnetic fields and radio waves to create detailed images of the heart and its surrounding structures, aiding in the diagnosis and evaluation of heart conditions such as myocardial infarction, cardiomyopathy and congenital heart defects
- Diagnostic cardiac catheterization: This minimally invasive procedure allows our team to visualize and assess the structure and function of your heart. This level of visibility allows us to diagnose conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart valve disease or even heart failure.
- Nuclear medicine: This specialized area of radiology uses very small amounts of radioactive materials to examine an organ's function and structure to identify abnormal blood flow to the heart, determine the extent of damage after a heart attack and measure heart function
- Stress tests: By monitoring your heart rate during a session of increasingly strenuous exercise, our team can better diagnose symptoms, including chest pain, shortness of breath and heart palpitations
- Transesophageal echocardiogram: If a standard echocardiogram is unable to get a clear picture of your heart, a transesophageal echocardiogram uses a transducer guided down your throat to records sound wave echoes from your heart, which a computer converts into detailed images
- Transthoracic echocardiogram: This diagnostic test uses sound waves to produce live images of your heart, allowing your doctor to monitor your heart and how your valves are working
