About this Event

* Classes are FREE

Overview:

This class will cover information to help you prepare for your surgery and recovery. Classes are mandatory for any person having knee or hip replacement. Classes are highly encouraged for any person having knee, hip, shoulder, hand, or wrist surgery. We recommend that you choose a person to act as a “coach” to help you when you go home after surgery. Your coach should view the classes with you, so they can provide the best support for you during your recovery.

What You Will Learn:

• How to prepare yourself, your family, and your home

• What to expect the night before and day of surgery

• Dos and don’ts after surgery

• Discharge planning

• Returning home

• Postoperative pain management

• Physical therapy and rehabilitation

Location:

Class will be located in the Greenland conference room. Park in the main hospital parking lot by the Manna Restaurant. When entering the hospital main lobby, walk past the Welcome Desk and turn right at the corner of the gift shop down the first hall you see. The conference center is located down that hall on your right side before you reach the end of the hallway.
