With the grand opening of AdventHealth Apopka rapidly approaching, campus leaders today showed off the facility for local journalists.
The new hospital, located near the intersection of State Road 429 and State Road 414, will have 120 private patient rooms, surgical services and advanced surgical suites, and a catheterization lab. At seven stories, the building will have a 50,000-square-foot emergency department, attached to an 80,000-square-foot Medical Office Building for specialty physicians.
For over 40 years, AdventHealth Apopka has been providing care for the community. Given the rapidly growing population and health care needs of West Orange County, AdventHealth broke ground on the all-new facility in 2015.
We're excited to offer a range of new services much closer to home for residents of Apopka and surrounding areas, said Tim Cook, administrator of AdventHealth Apopka. Receiving care close to home is more convenient less stressful for patients and their families, and ultimately lowers health-care costs.
The hospital is slated to open in December 2017.
