Our Partnership With The BirthPlace at AdventHealth Parker
Through our partnership with The BirthPlace at AdventHealth Parker, you’ll have access to the highest level of maternity care. This state-of-the-art facility features large private birthing suites, gourmet room service and a family-centered approach designed to make your experience both safe and memorable.
A highly trained team — including perinatologists, on-call anesthesiologists, neonatal specialists and international board-certified lactation consultants (IBCLCs) — is ready to support you through every possibility, including high-risk pregnancies, multiples and premature births.
At every stage of your pregnancy, we’re honored to be part of your journey.
Our gynecologists are trained in leading-edge, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Minimally invasive surgery requires just a few small incisions, each about a half-inch long, to allow for the insertion of small surgical instruments. A thin, lighted tube with a camera, known as a laparoscope, is inserted through a small incision, allowing your doctor to perform the surgery. These smaller incisions generally result in less blood loss during surgery, less pain, less risk of infection, a shorter hospital stay (often without an overnight stay) and a faster recovery than traditional surgical approaches.
Our doctors have advanced training in minimally invasive surgical options for gynecologic surgery. We use innovative laparoscopic and hysteroscopic techniques that allow surgeries to be performed through tiny incisions for multiple procedures, including:
- Endometrial ablation
- Hysteroscopy and sonohysterogram
Share the Prenatal Journey With Other Expectant Moms
As you navigate the adventure of pregnancy, it’s important that you receive the best prenatal care for you and your baby.
Imagine a place where prenatal care is not only about routine appointments with your health care provider but also about building a community where you and other moms-to-be share experiences, get additional education together and form lasting friendships. This is exactly what CenteringPregnancy® prenatal care offers — a unique and community-building focus on prenatal care that might be the perfect fit for you.
At AdventHealth Medical Group Integrated OB/GYN at Parker, we’re offering group prenatal care along with traditional obstetrics care to ensure you have the best fit for your pregnancy journey.
- What is CenteringPregnancy® Group Prenatal Care?
-
CenteringPregnancy® groups are a unique way of getting prenatal care in a group setting. Instead of the traditional model of only one-on-one visits with your provider, this model brings together a small group of pregnant women with similar due dates for a portion of their prenatal visits.
Led by a caring health care provider, these group sessions replace individual appointments and create a space for shared learning and support.
- What Group Prenatal Care Offers
-
There are many benefits to sharing in prenatal care in a group setting, including:
- Build Lasting Friendships: You're not alone! You'll get to know other pregnant women going through the same journey. Together, you'll form a supportive community where you can share your feelings, ask questions and celebrate pregnancy.
- Learn Together: Group sessions cover everything from pregnancy basics to childbirth education. Imagine having a fun and interactive class where you and your fellow moms can explore various aspects of pregnancy and childbirth. It's not just informative; it's an opportunity to empower yourself with knowledge and make informed decisions about your pregnancy.
- Extended Time with a Health Care Provider: One of the great advantages of group care is the extended time spent with your health care provider. While traditional appointments might feel rushed, in a group setting, you can have your questions answered, discuss concerns and receive personalized care — all in a relaxed and comfortable environment.
- Celebrate Milestones Together: From hearing your baby's heartbeat for the first time to feeling those precious kicks, every pregnancy milestone is a cause for celebration. Group sessions allow you to share these special moments with your fellow expectant moms, creating memories to last a lifetime.
- Better Outcomes for Mom and Baby: Studies show that women participating in CenteringPregnancy® group prenatal care often experience improved birth outcomes. From lower rates of preterm birth to increased satisfaction with care, this model has proven benefits for a healthier pregnancy journey.
- Choosing CenteringPregnancy® Care
-
As a mom-to-be, prenatal care is more than appointments; it's about creating a supportive community, gaining knowledge and enjoying every step of this incredible journey.
So, if you're ready to embrace a care model that prioritizes togetherness and empowerment, group prenatal care might be the perfect fit for you.
Step into this warm and welcoming space and let the joy of pregnancy unfold in the company of newfound friends at AdventHealth Medical Group Integrated OB/GYN at Parker.
