When Gerald Robison, the co-founder of Hospice of the Comforter and board chairman for some 15 years, passed in 2020, his wife Peggy felt inspired to continue his legacy of supporting Hospice and AdventHealth. Through the established Robison Fund, which Gerald created in 2018 to assist with the financial concerns of Hospice patients, Peggy continues to advocate and support AdventHealth and our Hospice Care programs.

Passionate about helping others, Peggy knew that she wanted to leave a legacy. A “planned gift” is a specific donation strategy that provides immediate benefits to you and future benefits to AdventHealth.

“When I was making my will and deciding where my assets could go, I was advised I could include AdventHealth and the Robison Fund a part of my Will plans. I had not realized this was possible and am so happy that there will continue to be some funds coming from the Peggy and Gerald Robison family to keep his memory alive and keep the Robison Fund healthy.”

Funds from Peggy’s estate will support the future needs of the Robison Fund, ensuring hospice patients are able to receive the care they need, no matter their financial situation: “I'm happy to be a small part of that and I feel peaceful and secure that I can't do a whole lot, but my contributions will help and that's how I feel that's my passion.”

When asked if she had a message to share for anyone considering making a planned gift, she said:

“Talk with someone [at AdventHealth] about making a planned gift. You’ll be glad you did. I have great peace knowing my assets will be used to help others long after I leave this earth.”
