What Is Integrative and Naturopathic Medicine?

Integrative and naturopathic medicine is an approach to health care that uses natural, non-toxic therapies to treat the whole person and encourage the self-healing process. Our team works alongside your conventional medical team to help uncover underlying causes of your ailments. Therefore, our providers do not provide primary care but rather serve as one member of your multidisciplinary care team, exploring options that may complement or supplement other care you receive. 

Our team looks far beyond your physical health and dives into each of these areas to develop a plan that’s tailored to your needs. And, because you’re a complex, unique individual, integrative medicine pulls from evidence-based medicine and healing from around the world to help you feel your best.   • Dr. Tereza Hubkova

    Tereza Hubkova, MD, is a Board-certified integrative medicine physician focused on one goal: Your good health. For more than 20 years, she’s studied many different healing tools — from nutritional medicine to the principles of Chinese medicine and much more. She uses that knowledge and experience to guide her patients along a path to whole health and healing.

  • Dr. Megan Schlick

    Dr. Schlick has special training in nutritional medicine, herbal medicine and lifestyle modifications and she is an expert in identifying nutrient deficiencies and accurately prescribing nutritional and herbal supplements. Much of her practice focuses on evaluation into the root cause of your symptoms, with much focus on digestive health, hormonal health, immune health and nutritional status. With overall wellness in mind, she works with patients to develop an individualized plan to treat illness and support optimal health.

  • Lisa Markley, MS, RDN, LD

    Lisa Markley is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and the Director of Culinary Medicine at AdventHealth Whole Health Institute. With more than 10 years of experience as a dietitian, and 20 years in health education, Lisa is focused on translating health to the plate by helping patients manage nutritional deficiencies and chronic conditions through nutrition. Lisa provides a strategic and practical approach to healthy eating by offering targeted nutrition plans, recipe ideas and strategies for cooking.

Genes, Food and Your Future

Culinary Genomics Program

Discover what DNA reveals about your health. Your genes are NOT your destiny - especially if you know your genes and how they affect your body. Having this knowledge allows you to act and tailor your lifestyle to help you feel whole. Register for either a six-week program or a two-day weekend intensive, where you will uncover and analyze your genes and how they affect you as an individual. Each program includes two one-on-one consultations with Dr. Tereza Hubkova, one post program session with registered dietitian Lisa Markley, and check-ins with a designated health coach.
