MINNEOLA, Fla.-- AdventHealth Minneola has officially named its new executive leadership team, a dynamic group of seasoned leaders united by a shared commitment to faith-based, whole-person care. As the ninth hospital in AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division, the Minneola campus is on track to open its doors this December under the leadership of CEO, Kay Barnett.
“I’m thrilled to work alongside such purpose-driven leaders who live out our mission of extending the healing ministry of Christ,” said Kay Barnett, CEO of AdventHealth Minneola. “Their unique leadership styles and deep commitment to building healthier communities will help South Lake County feel whole.”
Meet the Executive Team

Paul Adeogun to serve as chief operating officer at AdventHealth Minneola. He previously served as executive director of operations at the AdventHealth Orlando campus; Paul is grateful for the opportunity to be part of the opening of a new AdventHealth hospital. “AdventHealth Minneola will transform the health care landscape of South Lake County by giving its residents the opportunity to choose where they receive care,” said Adeogun. “With our commitment to clinical excellence, we aim to provide distinguished service to geographic areas that have historically lacked adequate access.” Paul has sixteen years of experience in the health care industry, eight of which have been with AdventHealth. He is also a tuba player in the AdventHealth Orchestra.

A practicing emergency physician and trusted health care leader, Dr. Bennett joined AdventHealth in 2011. He has played an integral role in launching several new facilities, including the AdventHealth Winter Garden inpatient tower, AdventHealth Clermont ER and Millenia ER.
Kandy Medlen – Chief Nursing Officer
Kandy Medlen will serve as chief nursing officer of AdventHealth Minneola. She previously served as executive director of nursing at AdventHealth Orlando. A proud Minneola resident, Kandy is passionate about bringing care close to home. “I’ve lived in the Clermont/Minneola area for 10 years, and from the moment I saw the hills, I knew I was home,” Medlen said. “I never imagined this would happen in my lifetime, but I feel truly blessed. I believe in our mission and am honored to serve my neighbors.”
Liann Breyer – Chief Financial Officer
Liann Breyer will serve as chief financial officer for AdventHealth Minneola. Most recently, she was director of finance at AdventHealth Apopka. With 12 years at AdventHealth, Liann has grown her career across financial planning and operational leadership. “I believe our hospital will be transformational for this vibrant community, not just by expanding access to care, but by treating each patient like family, with physical and spiritual support,” said Breyer.
The new hospital will bring much-needed inpatient and emergency services to the South Lake community, advancing access to whole-person care close to home.
