Our investments have given five Central Florida nonprofits the chance to bolster their missions and drive lasting change that will help them bring prosperity and wholeness to the community.
Driving Lasting Change Across Central Florida
In 2024, AdventHealth invested more than $9 million in community initiatives through Central Florida nonprofits focused on urgent need. These investments support:

The Sharing Center
The Sharing Center’s vision is to build The Sharing Center Commons in Seminole County. The community of 78 affordable housing units will include comprehensive wraparound services such as case management and counseling.

United Global Outreach
United Global Outreach will build 25 small homes in Bithlo, addressing the region’s housing shortage. The organization will also create a small home assembly lab to support the growing demand for these homes.

Salvation Army of Orlando
The Salvation Army of Orlando plans to renovate its men’s shelter in downtown Orlando with new plumbing, electric and HVAC infrastructure, kitchen and dining areas and a veterans’ wing, providing a safe and dignified place to live and access support.

Special Hearts Farm
Special Hearts Farm will serve even more residents with special needs, by providing enhanced workforce training and job opportunities with the addition of a training center and barn on a new 19-acre property in Winter Garden. This expansion will provide job training for more than 150 residents and create 50 employment opportunities at the farm, empowering residents with special needs to lead more independent and meaningful lives.

Cristo Rey Orlando High School
This funding will be used to build a state-of-the-art wellness center, providing on-campus medical care, dental care and mental health services to students and their families. The school will welcome 125 incoming freshmen from families with limited economic means, ensuring that underserved communities have access to these vital resources.
This Miracle Baby Has Bigger Plans
“Miracle Mattie” was a tiny baby with biliary atresia, a rare liver disease, when her family found hope, connection and the care they needed — including a liver transplant — at AdventHealth for Children at the Walt Disney Pavilion in Orlando.
