Epigenetics and Culinary Genomics

Epigenetics is the study of changes in organisms caused by modification of gene expression rather than alteration of the genetic code itself. It’s the link between gene expression and lifestyle factors.

Culinary Genomics is an easy way to apply epigenetic science into daily life — using food to modify gene expression based on the knowledge of your DNA. With it, we’re able to create a personalized roadmap to better health and disease prevention.

Program Overview

The program starts with an in-person lecture explaining the concept of Epigenetics and Culinary Genomics, allowing those who are interested to register for the program. When you register, we’ll collect a genetic sample. The results, while individual, will be organized into common pathways which will be addressed in a series of weekly educational classes followed by practical application (cooking classes). There will be two offerings each week: one educational and one “hands-on” practical application.

Before the first week of the series, each individual will schedule a one-on-one consultation with Dr. Hubkova. After the last session, each individual will schedule a one-on-one post-program consultation with Dr. Hubkova. A 6-month follow-up with be scheduled with a health coach.
