Darin Santangelo reaches the Ironman finish line.

Darin Santangelo -- AdventHealth Orlando's executive director of procedural services -- said that he couldn't run to his mailbox when he began training for an Ironman Triathlon.
He now competes in one of the world's most difficult single-day athletic events.
Santangelo said that his motivation was sparked by an organizational culture committed to health and wellness, but his drive comes from his family.
"I have a disabled daughter, so it keeps me in shape to care for her," Santangelo said. "For me, the pursuit of sport performance, the pursuit of healthy, active living comes from a place of having deep love and deep care for my family."
In the latest episode of the Inspiring Wholeness podcast, he joins Russell Gaither, AdventHealth sports performance program manager, to discuss finding your inner Ironman.
Listen to the episode below to hear about Santangelo's pursuit of an extraordinary goal and the Ironman lessons he applies to the workplace.
You'll also learn how to start an exercise routine, stay motivated, train and safely build endurance.
