PALM COAST, Fla., May 10, 2016 On April 28, Florida Hospital Flagler recognized emergency medicine physician Dr. Paul Mucciolo as the physician of the quarter for the first quarter of 2016.
As part of our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ, we remain committed to delivering the highest quality of compassionate care to our community. Vital to our success in fulfilling our mission is our team of highly skilled physicians, said Robert Davis, Florida Hospital Flagler chief nursing officer. To celebrate their healing ministry, Florida Hospital Flagler has launched a Physician of the Quarter Program.
Mucciolo was selected for this award after a vote from his peers.
He is a patient advocate to all patients we serve, from minor injuries to the critically ill, and his demeanor is one of compassion and kindness to the patient and their family, said Florida Hospital Flagler chief of staff and emergency medicine physician Dr. Kristin McCabe. An active member of the Stroke, Sepsis and Patient Safety Committees, he never misses a meeting and continually offers suggestions to promote safety in patient care and the hospital environment.
As a board-certified emergency medicine physician, Mucciolo serves as the emergency department medical director at Florida Hospital Flagler and the medical director of Florida Hospitals emergency care center at Daytona International Speedway.
Dr. Mucciolo has brought to Florida Hospital Flagler and our community exemplary leadership, the consistent delivery of outstanding emergency medical care and a personal compassion for each of his patients. He is truly representative of our mission and our goal of providing excellent patient care and we are proud to recognize him as physician of the quarter, said Dr. Ronald Thomas, Florida Hospital Flagler chief medical officer.
