This marks the ninth consecutive year that AdventHealth has been named Most Wired.
The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has named AdventHealth a 2021 CHIME Digital Health Most Wired award winner. The CHIME Digital Health Most Wired program recognizes health care organizations for applying core and advanced technologies to their clinical and business programs to improve health and care in their communities.
“The technology that powers AdventHealth’s clinical systems has enabled us to meet new challenges brought by the pandemic and strengthen our care delivery,” said Brent Snyder, chief information officer for AdventHealth. “Being named a Most Wired health system illustrates our organization’s commitment to securely leverage and advance information technology capabilities for AdventHealth, as well as the extraordinary talents and expertise of our AdventHealth IT team members.”
This is the ninth consecutive time that AdventHealth has earned the Most Wired designation for Acute Hospital IT. This year, AdventHealth achieved Level 8 certification on a 10-level scale and received the quality award in the acute category for its deployment of technologies and strategies that help analyze data and achieve meaningful clinical and efficiency outcomes. AdventHealth also achieved Level 9 and won the performance excellence award in the ambulatory category, a level up from the Quality Award in 2020.
Each year, CHIME has expanded the survey to capture more types of organizations that serve patients across the continuum of care. CHIME also continues to promote the program internationally to provide a global overview of digital health advancements.
“Digital transformation in healthcare has accelerated to an unprecedented level since 2020, and the next few years will bring a wave of innovation that empowers healthcare consumers and will astound the industry,” said CHIME President and CEO Russell P. Branzell. “The Digital Health Most Wired program recognizes the outstanding digital leaders who have paved the way for this imminent revolution in healthcare. Their trailblazing commitment to rapid transformation has set an example for the entire industry in how to pursue a leadership vision with determination, brilliant planning and courage to overcome all challenges.”
As in past years, CHIME will publish an industry trends report based on Digital Health Most Wired responses from U.S. participants. The 2021 National Trends Report is scheduled to be released in October during CHIME21 in San Diego.
