AdventHealth’s residency programs are designed for recent graduates who are ready to begin a dynamic career in healthcare. These two- or three- year programs give you the opportunity to coordinate special projects and interact with leaders on all levels of the organization. You will be giving specialized leadership development that is aligned with our mission focused culture. Our goal is that you will be stretched, learn and develop, grow quickly, and be ready to tackle any challenges that you will face throughout your career. Residency Programs are available in several areas.

Corporate Responsibility Residency

If you are interested in the regulatory and legal environment of healthcare, then our Corporate Responsibility track is designed for you. At AdventHealth, Corporate Responsibility (i.e. compliance), is positioned as a strategic partner throughout the organization. Corporate Responsibility leaders help navigate the complexity of the healthcare regulatory environment and ensure that we are operating within the legal and regulatory framework. You will work alongside our corporate and field-based Corporate Responsibility Officers to help systematize and audit our adherence to state and federal laws.

Finance/Accounting Residency

If you are interested in learning more about the business aspect of healthcare and developing your skills as an accounting professional in a dynamic learning environment, the finance residency is a great opportunity for you. In this residency you will experience many different aspects of AdventHealth’s finance teams, from accounting and financial planning to reimbursement and revenue cycle. Learn AdventHealth’s holistic approach to healthcare finance and how it aligns with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. If you are interested in developing your career in healthcare finance with the help of experienced individuals throughout the company, this residency is for you.

Human Resources Residency

If you are interested in being a part of AdventHealth’s Human Resource transformation from a traditional function to a strategic one, then the Human Resource track is designed for you. You will learn what it means to be a top-performing healthcare HR team designing and executing progressive strategies that inspire our team members to live out their passion and potential while adding business value to the organization. You will be able to participate in all aspects of human resource strategy from being part of one of our newly created Total Rewards, Talent Management or Organizational Effectiveness Centers of Expertise, Shared Services team or HR Business Partner teams in one of our 47 facilities. AdventHealth plans to grow significantly over the next 10 years, and that will only be possible with strong Human Resource Leaders who create strategies that grow and develop talent, improve retention, create a compelling employee experience and help to Extend the Healing Ministry of Christ.

Information Systems Management Residency

During this two-year program, residents spend hands-on time serving alongside various teams within AdventHealth Information Services, including web, data center operations, networking and the help desk. They also spend time at hospital facilities observing the I.T. director and assisting in day-to-day operations.

Management and Operations Residency

The Management track is designed to provide a broad learning experience and equip you for various roles in healthcare operations and/or administration. You will work with senior leaders both in the acute care, outpatient, and post-acute environments to learn how AdventHealth joins a mission-centered culture with business strategy. This program provides exposure to all facets of AdventHealth operations with the goal of preparing you for executive roles across AdventHealth.

Marketing and Strategic Planning Residency

If you enjoy tackling complex problems and leading teams to new and innovative solutions, then our Marketing and Strategic Planning track is designed for you. You will explore how healthcare innovation occurs and interacts with start-up companies that will become the next generation of health care suppliers. You will practice the science and art of creating and executing business development plans, have a chance to be immersed in a major branding campaign working with a national marketing agency and will be exposed to the latest digital consumer technology.

Nursing Leadership Management Residency

This program varies in length from one to two years depending on the previous experiences of the resident. It is designed for MSNs who are currently employed at an AdventHealth facility or high-potential BSN graduates.

Physician Enterprise Residency

Physicians are at the core of AdventHealth. They make it possible for us to sustain and grow our ministry of care. The Physician Enterprise Leadership program puts you in the heart of building and maintaining a strong coalition of Physicians who are aligned with our mission and values. Every element that makes up the complex world of a hospital also fits into the microcosm of a physician practice. From people management to financial strategy you will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of business. If you are a jack-of-all trades and want to develop your entrepreneurial spirit, then the Physician Enterprise Leadership track is right for you.

Supply Chain Residency

If you enjoy coordinating a complex system of moving parts, building and maintaining strategic partnerships, and enjoy bringing efficiencies to world around you, then our Supply Chain track is designed for you. You will learn about the full life cycle of supplies, services, and equipment for a multibillion dollar organization from vendor selection and contracting, through storage and distribution. Supply Chain combines the skills of a people manager, strategist, and financial forecaster. You will learn firsthand about our clinical operations as you partner with nurses and physicians to get the resources they need to successfully treat patients.
