Veronica’s Story: From Patient to Grateful Donor

Veronica first experienced AdventHealth through her husband’s care at the Pepin Heart Institute. Years later, when she arrived at AdventHealth Riverview on New Year’s Day with Influenza A and worsening pulmonary issues, she was met with the same warmth and professionalism. Nurses like Loretta and Rose, and respiratory therapist Sean, made her feel safe, seen and supported.

AdventHealth Riverview is committed to extending the healing ministry of Christ by providing exceptional, whole-person care to the rapidly growing Riverview community. As the population grows, so does the need for advanced medical services — especially cardiovascular care, which remains a leading health concern in Florida.

To meet this need, we are expanding our Heart, Lung and Vascular Center with a state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratory (cath lab). This critical investment will:

  • Improve Access to Life-Saving Care: Reduce wait times and ensure timely diagnostics and interventions close to home
  • Enhance Clinical Capabilities: Equip our team with advanced imaging and interventional technology for minimally invasive procedures, improving safety and outcomes
  • Support Community Growth: Address the rising demand for specialized cardiac care in one of Florida’s fastest-growing regions
  • Deliver Better Outcomes: Keep patients near their families while receiving world-class care, improving recovery and quality of life
