AdventHealth North Pinellas Foundation

A Mission of Healing Through Philanthropy

The AdventHealth North Pinellas Foundation extends the healing ministry of Christ by expanding access to whole-person, high-quality care across Pinellas County and the surrounding communities. Through philanthropy and community partnerships, we help more people get the care they need, strengthen local programs and support healthier lives for our neighbors.

Through the Legacy of Hope campaign for Tarpon Springs, we’re advancing surgical excellence at AdventHealth North Pinellas by investing in a state-of-the-art hybrid operating room. This effort expands access to advanced cardiovascular care close to home, so more patients can receive life-saving treatment when it matters most.

Marc's Second Chance: Surviving a Heart Attack at AdventHealth North Pinellas

Marc was working under his truck when chest pain hit. Minutes later, he collapsed at the ER doors. The team at AdventHealth North Pinellas rushed into action, performing CPR and using a defibrillator to bring him back from flatline — twice. Matt, one of his nurses, leaned in and said, “You just had a heart attack. Relax. We need to get you through this.”

From the Cath lab to the bedside, every person treated Marc with compassion and urgency. They didn’t just save his life — they gave his daughter, his mom and his entire family a second chance. Because of that care, Marc is alive today. Help ensure every patient receives that same compassion. Make a gift today to the AdventHealth North Pinellas Foundation to help give patients like Marc the crucial care they need.

A Legacy of Hope for North Pinellas

For nearly 100 years, AdventHealth North Pinellas has cared for the people of Tarpon Springs and the greater Tampa Bay community. What started as a 12-bed hospital has grown into an award-winning, 168-bed medical center and as demand for life-saving cardiovascular procedures has risen 26% since 2021, our community needs us to take the next step.

The Legacy of Hope campaign is a $9 million effort to build a state-of-the-art hybrid operating room at AdventHealth North Pinellas. This next-generation surgical suite will bring advanced cardiovascular and vascular procedures under one roof with greater precision, safety and efficiency, so patients can get life-saving care without leaving home.

Your support helps write the next chapter of this 100-year story. Join us and become part of a legacy of health, healing and hope for North Pinellas.

Earlier Detection. Better Outcomes.

One screening can change everything. Yet only half of women over 40 get regular mammograms, and breast cancer remains the most common cancer type in Florida.

3D mammography finds what traditional 2D screenings can miss. The Genius™ 3D mammogram system detects 20–65% more invasive breast cancers compared to 2D alone, offers a more comfortable experience through the SmartCurve™ system and reduces unnecessary follow-up screenings. It's also the only FDA-approved system for women with dense breasts.

Your gift to the AdventHealth North Pinellas Foundation helps bring this technology to our community so more women can catch cancer early, get back to the people they love and live with greater peace of mind.

Burnette Society

In 1987, our Foundation started the Burnette Society, an annual giving society in memory of Dr. E.W. Burnette, one of the founding physicians of both the hospital and Foundation.

Burnette Society members give a gift of $1,000 or more each year and help carry forward our commitment to provide whole-person care to patients and community members.

Burnette Society donations support our friends who need cardiac care, like treatment for heart failure; our neighbors who seek freedom from pain and require minimally invasive orthopedic services; and our loved ones who unexpectedly have to make a trip to our new emergency room.

In 2021, Burnette Society donations funded six new vein finders. This proven technology allows our nurses to provide an enhanced patient care experience.

The Burnette Society is deeply rooted in AdventHealth North Pinellas’ history, and we can only continue this legacy through the support of compassionate community members.
