About Our Program
AdventHealth Ocala is a 425-bed community hospital committed to improving the lives of people in our North Central Florida community through a whole person approach care. Our staff takes pride in caring for each patient like a member of their own family.
The PGY1 Residency Program at Ocala was established in November 2019 with our inaugural class graduating in October 2020. The residency program expands both clinical and staffing services at our facility and augments the excellent pharmacy staff we currently have. Residents will participate in a decentralized pharmacy model and work with multidisciplinary teams, monitoring responses to drug therapy and optimizing care to improve patient outcomes. Residents who complete the residency program will develop the critical thinking skills necessary to provide patient-focused care and become confident, independent clinicians in the health care team.
