For patients and families, high-quality care means having confidence that the people caring for them are continually working to make care safer, more effective and more consistent.
Twenty-two AdventHealth hospitals in communities across the country have been named 2026 Top Performers by Vizient, marking a significant milestone in AdventHealth’s first full year participating in Vizient’s assessment as a system.
Vizient provides healthcare organizations with data and benchmarking that can help them understand performance, identify opportunities for improvement and learn from high-performing peers. For two decades, Vizient’s annual Top Performers list shows which hospitals perform best among their peers for clinical outcomes, safety, effectiveness and more.
AdventHealth’s systemwide view of clinical analytics enables a more consistent way for teams across the system to evaluate performance and turn those insights into action for patients.
“This recognition reflects the dedication of our physicians, nurses and team members to continually improve how we care for every person who places their trust in us,” said AdventHealth Chief Clinical Officer Michael Cacciatore, MD. “By learning from our performance and from one another, we can keep raising the standard of care while staying focused on helping people heal and live well so they can feel whole.”
Across AdventHealth, that work shows up in moments that matter: a farmer surviving a heart attack, a stroke patient receiving lifesaving care at a moment's notice, a patient safely returning home just one day after surgery, and supporting people with complex needs navigate whole-person healing after a health crisis. Together, these stories show what quality and safety can mean for patients: more time with loved ones, a smoother recovery and a chance to heal wholly – in body, mind and spirit.
AdventHealth is also using tools such as its sepsis dashboard to help clinical teams identify risk earlier, respond faster and share what works across hospitals. This approach is part of a broader commitment to clinical excellence, also reflected in the system’s U.S. News and World Report Best Hospitals rankings, which helps consumers compare care hospitals’ overall quality and experience, and recognition from The Leapfrog Group for patient safety, quality and transparency.

As a not-for-profit, faith-based health system focused on whole-person care, AdventHealth's mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ inspires its commitment to continually improving the care people receive.
“Data and national benchmarks provide important measures of progress, but the purpose behind that work remains personal: providing our communities with dependable, compassionate care that not only heals the body, but can also ease the mind and lift the spirit,” Dr. Cacciatore said.
