AdventHealth Daytona Beach has named Joshua Champion as vice president of ancillary services, effective Sept. 10.
The role will oversee the hospital’s various clinical and non-clinical ancillary departments, health parks and medical operations at the Daytona International Speedway, along with various strategic projects, including the construction of a new ambulatory surgery center and medical office building.
“Joshua’s exceptional leadership qualities will undoubtedly contribute to our continued growth and success,” said David Weis, president and CEO of AdventHealth Daytona Beach. “With an extensive background in the health care industry and a proven track record of driving operational excellence, he brings a wealth of experience to our campus.”
With more than a decade of service at AdventHealth in Texas and Florida, Champion currently serves as the executive director of operations at AdventHealth Waterman in Tavares. In this most recent role, he oversaw food and nutritional services, environmental services, patient transport, wound care, laboratory and various growth-related projects including a new medical office building and planning for a recently announced offsite emergency department in Fruitland Park.
“From the opportunity of leading expansion projects at AdventHealth to now embracing this new role, I am looking forward to continuing to serve our organization’s mission,” said Champion. “I feel privileged to take on leading remarkable colleagues and collaborating to help further elevate health care in Daytona Beach.”
Champion earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama, and a Master of Business Administration at Webster University in Longwood, Florida.
