ORLANDO, Fla. – For the 13th year in a row, AdventHealth Orlando has been named the No. 1 hospital in Metro Orlando by U.S. News & World Report in its 2023-2024 Best Hospitals listing.
Four of AdventHealth’s medical programs ranked among the nation’s best: cancer; diabetes and endocrinology; neurology and neurosurgery; and obstetrics and gynecology. The hospital was rated “high performing” in six additional specialties: cardiology and cardiovascular surgery; gastroenterology and GI surgery; geriatrics; orthopedics; pulmonology and lung surgery; and urology.
“We are honored to once again be named the best hospital in metro Orlando,” said Brian Adams, CEO of AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division – South Region. “These results are a testament to the dedication of our physicians, nurses and entire team to extending our healing mission by providing our patients with world-class, innovative care.”
U.S. News evaluated more than 4,500 hospitals across 15 specialties and 21 procedures and conditions; only 12% of evaluated hospitals earned a Best Hospitals ranking. Hospitals awarded a “Best” designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, level of nursing care and patient experience.
“For 34 years, U.S. News has provided data-informed rankings to help patients and their doctors find the best hospital to treat their illness or condition,” said Ben Harder, chief of health analysis and managing editor at U.S. News.
In addition to the honors for AdventHealth Orlando, AdventHealth Daytona Beach was ranked No. 1 in the Deltona-Daytona Beach metro area for the third consecutive year.
