UChicago Medicine AdventHealth hospitals earn top safety grades

Patient safety is at the center of UChicago Medicine AdventHealth’s healing mission and commitment to whole-person care. The Leapfrog Group’s spring 2026 Hospital Safety Grade report reflects that commitment, with UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale and La Grange earning “A” grades for the 26th consecutive grading period. UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Bolingbrook and GlenOaks received “B” ratings.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade evaluates how hospitals across the country perform across more than 30 safety measures, including preventing errors, accidents, injuries and infections, giving consumers a transparent, peer-reviewed tool for comparing hospital performance.

The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only hospital ratings program focused exclusively on preventable medical errors, injuries and infections that can lead to harm or even death. The grading system is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
