Manchester Memorial Hospital (MMH) held its second annual Spring Fiesta, an event just for women, at EKU Manchester Campus on May 20, 2016. This event for ladies is in place to commemorate the hard work they do every day, and give them a chance to simply relax and enjoy.
We really enjoy giving women a chance to stop and smell the roses at the Spring Fiesta, said Randy Craft, Community Outreach Coordinator and MMH. We like to let them know that we appreciate everything they do and they deserve to be spoiled every now and again.
This years Spring Fiesta pampered ladies by showcasing several free amenities, such as massages by Amy Dunzweiler out of Restoration Massage, makeovers by Stacey Smallwood with Mary Kay, and hair styling by Andrea Davidson with Shear Expressions. Ladies also experienced live cooking demos by MMH Chef Terry where he showcased how to make a delicious turkey razzl, which is a quick and easy wrap about which Terry handed out recipe cards.
Some of the other booths included in the Fiesta were:
- First National Bank of Manchester
- Hill Street Loft
- LifeVantage
- Red Bird Bone Density Screenings
- Cholesterol and Blood Sugar Screenings
- Manchester Cardiology
- Glenndale Medical Care
- Willowbrook Womens Center
- Manchester Pediatrics
The Hospital had also arranged for a separate Kids section, to give mothers a chance to enjoy the Fiesta knowing their kids are in good hands. The Clay County Library team was on-hand to look after the children and had a variety of activities to do with them, like coloring and games etc.
