The Spring 2026 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades have been released, recognizing AdventHealth Rocky Mountain Region hospitals for their continued commitment to patient safety.
AdventHealth Avista, Castle Rock and Porter have each earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit organization focused on improving patient safety. These biannual grades are widely regarded as a leading benchmark for hospital safety performance across the United States.
Leapfrog assigns letter grades from “A” to “F” to general hospitals nationwide based on more than 30 evidence-based measures. These measures evaluate how well hospitals prevent medical errors, injuries, accidents and infections, as well as the systems they have in place to protect patients.
- AdventHealth Avista: 15th "A" in a row - Straight “A” Since 2019
- AdventHealth Castle Rock: 4th “A” in row
- AdventHealth Porter: 9th "A" in a row - Straight “A” Since 2022
This recognition underscores AdventHealth’s ongoing focus on delivering safe, high-quality, whole-person care across the Rocky Mountain Region.
“These grades reflect the strength of our clinical teams and the systems we’ve built to prioritize patient safety every day,” said David Weis, CEO of the Rocky Mountain Region. “This achievement is a direct result of our team members’ compassion and commitment to doing the right thing for every patient, every time.”
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is the only national ratings program focused exclusively on preventable medical errors, infections and injuries. The program is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public, with updates released twice annually in the fall and spring.
