CALHOUN, Ga. — AdventHealth Medical Group is pleased to announce the opening of AdventHealth Medical Group Chiropractic Medicine at Calhoun, and welcomes Chris Nelson, DC, to the practice. Dr. Nelson is a chiropractor specializing in active release technique and Graston therapy, as well as instrument and manual adjustments.
The opening of this new chiropractic clinic reflects AdventHealth Medical Group’s continued commitment to expanding whole-person care close to home, ensuring community members have convenient access to treatments that support their health, mobility and overall well‑being.
Dr. Nelson earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a Master of Sports Medicine from Life University in Marietta, Georgia, and his bachelor’s degree in political science and government from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. He is dedicated to improving function and helping patients live life to the fullest. He specializes in back pain, neck pain, posture, functional movement, headaches, sciatica, joint pain, arthritis and whiplash. Dr. Nelson works collaboratively with you and a multidisciplinary team to accomplish desired treatment goals with care and compassion.
Outside of work, Dr. Nelson enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing golf and tennis and following college football.
