New family medicine provider offers wholistic care option for Candler community

ASHEVILLE, N.C., October 09, 2025 — AdventHealth welcomes new family medicine physician, Sanjna Malpani, MD, MPH, to its team at AdventHealth Medical Group Multispecialty at Candler*. Dr. Malpani is board-certified and fellowship-trained in Geriatric Medicine. She also holds board-certification in Family Medicine. She is excited to offer personalized and wholistic care for people in Candler and the surrounding community.

Dr. Malpani earned her Doctor of Medicine from Topiwala National Medical College at the University of Mumbai in Mumbai, India and her Master of Public Health degree from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in New Orleans, LA. She then completed her Family Practice Residency Program from Louisiana State University in Kenner, LA and the West Virginia University Geriatrics Fellowship Program in Harpers Ferry, WV.

Dr. Malpani’s approach to care is centered around providing wholistic care to every patient, every time. She was drawn to becoming a physician because of the way it allows her to engage with others and serve her community one patient at time. She values educating and empowering her patients on their journey to whole-person care.

“My approach to medicine is based on a complete view of the individual, and taking time to understand their unique personal challenges,” Dr. Malpani shares. “I believe the best patient outcomes occur when the provider and the patient create a trusting relationship.”

Dr. Malpani is offering family medicine and geriatric care for older adults. She is using her expertise and experience to support AdventHealth’s continued commitment to providing whole-person care with uncommon compassion to every person, every time.

“I believe that emphasis on wholistic lifestyle choices is very important in providing successful treatment,” Dr. Malpani says. “Often making small and incremental lifestyle choices transforms quality of life and allows a person to live their life to its fullest potential.”

Dr. Malpani is blessed with two wonderful sons, and two adorable dachshunds. Outside of work, she enjoys long walks, meditation, cooking, crocheting, gardening and keeping up with the latest K-Drama.
