Sandra Ingle, materials coordinator for AdventHealth Murray, has been awarded the hospital’s prestigious Extra Mile Award.
This special award was created by members of the hospital’s Employee Engagement Committee to recognize employees who go above and beyond the call of duty on a regular basis. It is awarded to deserving employees selected by the hospital’s directors.
Ingle was nominated by a coworker who said the following: “Sandra is a great asset to the hospital and all the departments that she takes care of. She goes above and beyond to help the departments make sure they have their supplies. She has helped me personally on several occasions locate products that we needed, but for whatever reason, had been moved or eliminated by accident. Some of those problems can be complicated and it takes time to fix, but she always gets it done. When she was on leave for a month or so at the beginning of the year, it really showed everyone how valuable she is.
“She not only does her job exceptionally well and takes pride in her efforts, but she is a sincere friend to anyone she meets. She feels joy for her friends and coworkers when they are having good times, and she feels the pain and worry for them when they are having difficult times. She is the first there to offer an ear to listen, a shoulder to lean on or a big hug just because you need one. I think she is the epitome of what AdventHealth stands for. Sandra is a true friend. She has a loving soul and a servant’s heart. We are very lucky to have her in our organization.”
