Hospital Staff Donate Food to Community Life Center

ORANGE CITY, Fla., November 15, 2018 – For two weeks, AdventHealth Fish Memorial employees donated canned goods and non-perishable items as part of the hospital’s annual food drive. These donated items will go to benefit the Community Life Center in Deltona.

“Our mission at AdventHealth is to extend the healing ministry of Christ, which goes beyond our hospital walls,” said Rob Deininger, AdventHealth Fish Memorial CEO. “We are grateful for this opportunity to provide for our community. We are also very proud of our employees for generously giving and helping their fellow neighbors.”

This year’s food drive brought in nearly 750 pounds of food for the Community Life Center. The organization assists the community and provides practical, tangible and spiritual assistance to individuals and families in crisis.

“The food will be bagged and distributed, during open intake hours at the Community Life Center, to families and individuals as one part of our holistic mission to giving our neighbors a hand up when they are experiencing a crisis,” said Yvonne Levesque, Community Life Center operations manager. “Some of the food is used to sustain our neighbors with chronically low income as we assist with stabilizing their expenses by assuring that they have access to all of the resources available, including job training, health, housing, communication, and other programs.”
