Brittani, a nurse on the Medical/Surgical unit, was nominated by a patient’s family member who shared how her presence helps ease fear and create a sense of calm during hospital stays. One family member described how their father, typically reserved, immediately relaxes when Brittani enters the room, feeling more at ease and supported in his care.
Through each interaction, Brittani focuses on helping patients feel heard, safe and understood. She takes time to explain care in a clear, approachable way and ensures families feel included and informed every step of the way.
