Growing hope, restoring lives: AdventHealth Manchester partners with Volunteers of America

At AdventHealth Manchester, we believe healing reaches far beyond the walls of a hospital.

Guided by our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ, we are proud to partner with Volunteers of America Mid-States to support women and families on their journey toward recovery, stability and renewed hope.

VOA Mid-States recently celebrated the expansion of the Clay County Freedom House, a recovery program that provides safe housing, support and resources for women and their children.

With this expansion, the Freedom House will be able to serve 300 additional women and children each year, helping more families find strength, encouragement and a path forward close to home.

To support this important work, AdventHealth Manchester provided a sponsorship to help create a therapeutic garden space on the Freedom House property.

The garden will offer residents a peaceful place to reflect, reconnect with nature and focus on healing during recovery.

Recovery takes compassion, support and meaningful resources. This garden is designed to be more than a green space. It will be a place where women can pause, find peace and continue building healthier futures for themselves and their families.

This partnership reflects AdventHealth Manchester’s commitment to caring for people in every stage of life and supporting the well-being of our neighbors across Clay County. Together with VOA Mid-States and local partners, we are helping remove barriers to recovery and creating opportunities for hope and healing.
