Gordon Hospital, a member of Adventist Health System, is pleased to announce the addition of Plamen Todorow, MD, to Gordon Neurology.
We are thrilled to have Dr. Todorow join Gordon Physicians Group, said Brendan Nieto, associate vice president of physician services at Gordon Hospital. We believe this service line will greatly benefit our community.
Neurology is the medical specialty concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the nervous system including the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles. A neurologist is a specially-trained physician who may serve as a consultant to other physicians or provide long-term care to patients with chronic neurological conditions. Some common tests used to diagnose neurological disorders include EEG, EMG/NCS, MRI and sleep disorder tests.
Dr. Todorow earned his medical degree from the Medical University in Sofia, Bulgaria, and completed his residency in neurology at the University of Minnesota. He also completed a fellowship in neurophysiology at West Virginia University in Morgantown. Board-certified in neurology and neurophysiology, Dr. Todorow brings with him more than 30 years of experience. He is also a member of the American Academy of Neurology.
Gordon Neurology is located in the same office as Gordon Primary Care at 105 Willowbrook Way in Calhoun. The hours of operation are 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Thursday and 8 am to 12 pm on Friday. The practice is now open and is accepting calls at Call706-625-6999.
